How a crisis and incident workflow runs

Four stages take you from a written procedure to a recorded response.

Build

Drag steps onto the canvas, link them and add decision points. Name the outcomes for each step, such as Safe or Not safe, and send each one somewhere different.

Publish

Changes stay in draft until the workflow has been validated and published, so responses that are already running are never disturbed.

Start

An administrator starts the workflow, chooses who is responsible for running it and, for area-based workflows, draws the affected area on the map. The person running it is emailed straight away.

Record

Each step is timestamped with its outcome and the run updates live for everyone watching. Who started it, who ran it, what was decided and how it ended are all kept for review.
Once a workflow has started, finding people, messaging them and collecting their replies all happen without manual chasing.

Guided steps and decisions

Draw a shape or radius on the map and Vismo finds everyone whose recent location falls inside it, using the same employee tracking and geofencing your team already relies on. Knowing where your people are in relation to an incident is what Vismo does best.

Safety checks on every channel

A mass notification step sends your message with set reply options and works through SMS, email, phone call and in-app messages in the order you choose, with a set delay between each.

One-tap replies in the app

Staff see the message and the deadline for replying in the Vismo app, then choose a response such as “Yes I am safe” or “No, I require assistance”. Each reply feeds straight back into the workflow.

A complete audit trail

Every run records who started it, who ran it, each step’s outcome and time, and whether it was completed, abandoned or timed out. Replies can be collated and downloaded as a CSV report. Over time, that record shows where responses slow down, so your team can get faster.
