Vismo Appoints Tom Cowling as New CEO

Vismo has appointed Tom Cowling as its new Chief Executive Officer, bringing additional senior leadership strength to support the company’s growth in critical event management, employee safety technology, and global risk management solutions. Tom joins Vismo from Ernst & Young, where he served as a Business Development Director.

Speaking on his appointment, Tom said:
“I’m very excited to have joined such a talented team, which has built a number of innovative products, all centred around the crucial purpose of keeping people safe at work.”

Strengthening Leadership During Rapid Sector Growth

Vismo’s Chairman and Founder, Tim Williams, welcomed Tom’s arrival, noting that it comes at a strategically important moment for both the organisation and the wider employee‑safety landscape.

Tim commented:
“Delighted to welcome Tom to the team. Tom’s arrival comes at an exciting time for us, as Vismo and the lone worker sector continue to expand rapidly both in the UK and the US. Vismo's industry leading tracking software and our best-in-class admin platform, position us extremely well to lead that growth from the front.”

This aligns with rising demand across the industry for 24/7 employee protection, proactive monitoring, and integrated response capabilities, areas where major providers in the workforce‑safety sector continue to invest heavily.

Background in High‑Growth, B2B Environments

Before joining Ernst & Young, Tom built his career across fast‑paced B2B organisations in the UK and internationally. His experience includes developing new routes to market and expanding customer bases, skills that support Vismo’s planned growth across both established and emerging regions.

Committed to Advancing Critical Event Management

Reflecting on the opportunity ahead, Tom added:
“Critical event management is an exciting space to be involved in and help develop. With its best‑in‑class platform for supporting clients and their employees in emergencies, Vismo is in a strong position to grow in breadth and depth to meet existing and emerging threats to employer organisations and their staff.”

His focus will be on strengthening Vismo’s capabilities in areas such as:

These remain essential differentiators in a market increasingly defined by rapid emergency response, user adoption, and global scalability — areas at the core of Vismo’s technology suite.
